DR Japan Fund

This semester I am excited to share the news that I will be participating on a Student Exchange program to Japan! It's the first trip out of the country I've ever planned on my own, and as such will need all the help I can get :). Server Updates
Yes, I have noticed the lovely 500 error pages. I never did bother to customize those.
I am now in the process of wrestling it out with my host. For the most part, DR is now back to normal :).

Standards

After considering the several requests I've received for more standard as well as widescreen resolutions, I've finally decided to re-standardize DR's walling sizes. From here on out, DR will include the more square 5:4 ratio standards, the most common 4:3 ratio standards, as well as up to four widescreen 16:10 ratio standards. (Standard standard standard...why don't I just say it a few more times....)

In the same breath, I'd also like to announce that I will no longer be resizing for 800x600 resolution, as most of my visitors are beyond that size, and also since the 1024x768 resolution can easily cover for the small adjustment. Besides, if you're really at 800x600, I'd recommend that you bump it up at least by one size - why limit yourself?

Affiliation 09

Wow time flies! It's nearing the end of 2008, and hence nearing the end of last year's affiliation term. In the past, affiliation opened only in March, but for the sake of simplicity I've decided to move that date to December (easier to remember at the end of the year).

With that, I would like to announce that applications for the 2009 affiliation period is now open, and will close at around midnight on December 31st, 2008. There will be 2-3 spots available.

After carefully reviewing each applicant, I am happy to announce this year's new affiliates:

A cute and design-sensical website that everyone (or at least all the girls and boys who love things cute) should visit at least once :).

Also a graphics website with an emphasis on walling. I love this site - always has a great sense of humor.

And another walling website with some awesome selections (and an awesome layout I have to say...give it a good long look :P).

And on a last note I'd like to give DR's 2008 affiliations a big thank you for being awesome partners last year: thank you Anna and Skye!! And also to all those who applied. It's a difficult decision to make every year, and I really appreciate everyone taking the time to show me their work.

Forms & Spam [Edit 01.06.09]
I've noticed that my anti-spam scripts have been a bit ban-happy lately, and have made a few tweaks to the code. Hopefully that will be enough to fix things.
