The Synopsis

Shinn's success in the battle between the Minerva vs. the Earth Alliance and Orb armies is praised with awe when he returns to the ship. Shinn tells Lunamaria that he isn't really sure what happened, only that he decided that he wasn't going to die like that, and suddenly everything had become clear.
Cagalli visits her father's grave, and is interrupted from her peace by Yuna. As they return in the same limo, Cagalli asks Yuna what he wants from her. He tells her that he and she will get married, for the sake of showing Orb that they are secure in their decision to join the Earth Alliance. Cagalli, shocked, is ready to refuse, but is reminded that this is for the good of Orb, and hesitates.
Marrue Ramius and Andrew Waltfield and the rest of the lagends of Jacchin Due understand that they will have to go back to the fighting again. They gain more initiative after Lacus is attacked by a special ZAFT forces squad. The attack squad attempts to sneak into Ramius and Waltfield's house where Kira and Lacus went to after losing their beach home. Haro, the little robot Athrun made for Lacus, alerts the household and the group wakes up. Waltfield and Ramius hold off the attackers and lead everyone through shelters hidden deep underneath the building. Kira, who had experienced so much pain during the last battle, is hard pressed to pilot the legendary Freedom again. Though when he realizes that it's the only way to protect the ones he cares about, he asks Lacus to give him the keys to the underground chamber where the Archangel and Freedom are stored. Everyone watches in grim silence as Kira takes off, exploding out of the mountain and surprising their attackers. He makes short work of the ZAFT soldiers, who immediately recognize Kira's Freedom. Lacus and everyone else watch from the distance as they all come to realize that it is time to go.

The Review

YES! KIRA'S BACK! This time as the wizened veteran of Jacchin Due. There is also a mystery behind this episode - why attack Lacus? And more to the point, why would ZAFT be the attackers? Didn't Dullindal say he needed her power...? Perhaps he wants to keep Meer, someone who is more of a blockhead, than Lacus, who may understand the world of politics more than he is comfortable with? Gaaah! The drama!
