The Synopsis

Kira has returned to the Archangel after his bout with the pilots of the Minerva and the destruction of Athrun's Saviour. Captain Ramius and the others discover that Captain Todoka had ordered his subordinates to find the Archangel and join forces to preserve the ideals of Orb before he died with the Orb carrier ship. Commander Amagachi, formerly Lieutenant, informs Cagalli that they have been wrong all this time in obeying the council's demands to fight, and that now they are here to fix those wrongs. As a whole, the group bows to Cagalli, begging for her forgiveness. Cagalli begins to cry and protests that she also had her own faults for failing to act properly as their leader. As the Orb forces begin to reflect on their pain, Kira steps in to straighten out what it is they are fighting for - not to join the Earth Alliance nor to join ZAFT forces, but to create an end to the war. Amagachi assures Kira that they came with every intention of fulfilling that goal.
Back in the Minerva, Captain Talia and the mech crew assess the damage they suffered in the last battle with the Freedom. Both the Warrior gundam and Athrun's Saviour are nearly impossible to repair, and will take a long time before they will be functionable again. Lunamaria meets her sister and a small group of fellow crew members with her arm in a sling. She asks if anyone knows how Athrun is doing, since she had just heard about what happened between him and the Freedom. Athrun is perfectly fine physically, and Shinn immediately begins to denounce him for his pathetic show in the last battle. He says that Athrun shouldn't be a member of FAITH if he's so weak.
Athrun steps out onto the deck outside as the sun is setting, reflecting over his father's prejudiced words, the battles and lost loved ones at Jacchin Due, and over his last bout with Kira. Images of Cagalli crying flash by, and Kira's words about him not noticing it resound in his mind. Suddenly, Shinn steps out onto the deck, and tells Athrun how pathetic he is, and that Athrun must have re-enlisted with ZAFT to fight the Earth Alliance so he'd better straighten himself out. At that, Shinn stomps his way to the other side of the Minerva.
When Shinn returns to Minerva's infirmary he overhears the Captain discussing the state of Stellar with the doctor. He learns that Talia plans on turning Stellar over to the ZAFT research laboratory who wants to test a live sample of an Extended. Shinn is horrified by these words, and resolves to take action to keep that from happening. Late that night, Shinn decodes the data from Stellar's gundam to trace the location of the Girty Lue. Rey wakes up but goes back to sleep again when Shinn tells him nothing's the matter. Shinn returns to the infirmary and renders the nurse unconscious. He pushes Stellar's cot to the elevator and is spotted by a mech crew member. A group of mechs suddenly appear and attempt to stop Shinn, but are cut short by Rey, who knocks them all unconscious in a matter of minutes. Shinn tells Rey that he is returning Stellar so she can live, and so she won't end up as a "guinea pig." Rey tells Shinn he will open the gate for him after assuring himself that Shinn will return.
The Captain and the rest of Minerva's crew wake up on high alert when they discover that the Extended is missing and the Impulse has launched. Shinn sends a repeating signal to the Girty Lue, telling them to send someone over to get Stellar at a secluded meeting place. Neo, whose gundam is the only one capable of meeting Shinn since the other gundam was not made for the type of travel necessary for this mission, decides to give it a chance even if it could be a trap. He meets Shinn, who makes him promise that he will return Stellar to a good life before turning her over. Neo gives Shinn his word that he will, and before leaving Stellar, Shinn hands her the bottled seashell she had given him on their first meeting.
Back in the Minerva, Rey is led to the Captain's office, where he is promptly interrogated about his actions. Rey assures Captain Talia that Shinn is only returning Stellar so that she may live, and that he will be coming back. Talia asks if Rey's participation in Stellar's escape was ordered by "him," though we are not told who "him" is. Rey tells her that his actions were based on his own judgement and free will. Later, Shinn also meets with the Captain.

The Review

Once again, the conflict that was finally resolved in Gundam Seed is now back between Kira and Athrun. Honestly, I don't know how much longer this can go on -.-;.
I was very surprised when Talia said she was going to treat Stellar as a lab rat. I had expected better of her.
