The Synopsis
Himeno has just preteared with Hayate, transforming into the Wind Pretear. However, she has no clue how to use her new powers. She is incredibly embarrassed to learn that she and Hayate had "become one," and Hayate explains in exasperation that it is the joining of the soul, not in body. Himeno is still grossed out when she begins to try out her new powers. The situation begins to look bad, especially when Himeno accidentally propels herself toward the demon larvae's open mouth. The other Leafe knights help her out, and as Himeno throws up a shield at the last second, Hayate cries out in pain. The Leafe knights direct Himeno to concentrate on her target, through the eyes of the Pretear. Himeno eventually finds what they're talking about, and whips out the Wind Sword and smashes the eye of the demon larvae. When the eye shatters, the demon larvae disappears and all the leafe in the area is restored.
The knights congratulate Himeno on a successful first battle. Himeno gets worried when she sees Hayate bleeding, and asks how that could have happened. The knights explain to her that Leafe knights become the shield and sword when joined with the pretear, and they take injuries inflicted during battle in place of the pretear. They try to reassure her that everyone has it rough the first time, and that she will get better with time. Hayate, however, is not so lenient, and criticizes her for being such a poor fighter. Himeno returns home, feeling down as she reflects on this new bit of news.
The next morning, Himeno is once again full of energy. She downs a glass of milk and tells a surprised servant that she will not be having breakfast that morning. She rushes over to the fountain in the Awayuki gardens, where she and the knights had first met, and begins calling for them. Sasame suddenly appears by her side, startling her beet red. Himeno asks Sasame to help her practice, since it will help to keep the knights from getting hurt in the future if she gets better. Sasame teaches her how to use his power as the Sound Pretear. Meanwhile, a nosy Mayune tries to spy on Himeno, and ends up being blown embarrassingly away by Himeno's Sound Arrow. Sasame tells Himeno that it was a little too powerful, since it leaves a mess of the fountain, but that it was very good. They then visit the radio station where Sasame works, and Himeno listens to him talk about the postcards from a Miss Silk, who writes that she feels there is no purpose to her life.
Mawata is walking down the streets, and suddenly dashes into the nearest alley when she finally gets sick of being called "Miss Awayuki." She denounces that name, and says it isn't even hers. A little kitten paws its way up to her, and Mawata kneels to pet it. She then sees the rest of the kitten's family, its mother and siblings resting nearby a bunch of trash cans at the back of the alley. Mawata raises her notebook as if to strike them, but then stops and turns around to leave. She walks to a nearby park and thinks about the time when her mother first announced her engagement to Kaoru Awayuki, and the shock that took over afterwards. She then gets up and returns to the alley to feed the kitten a piece of fish with an apology for her earlier reaction. Suddenly the demon larvae that had been hiding among the trash cans comes to life, sending Mawata and the cats into unconsciousness. Himeno senses the demon larvae and is shortly followed by Sasame. The Leafe knights gather around the alley, and Shinn sets up a barrier to shield the outside world from the battle. Hayate arrives and scolds Himeno for wasting time. Himeno preteras with Sasame and destroys the demon larvae with the Sound Arrow.
When everything is back to normal, Mawata wakes up to find herself among Himeno and the Leafe knights. Sasame helps her pick up her stuff from the ground, and discovers one of the postcards from Miss Silk. He realizes that Mawata is the true identity of Miss Silk, and tells her that he is thankful for all of her postcards. Himeno is surprised at this information, and says that now she understands. Mawata becomes furious and embarrassed, telling Himeno that she could never hope to understand her feelings. She pushes past Sasame as she leaves.
The Review
I love the screen shot of Mayune's bulging eyes when she was hit by the Sound Arror, haha her dress had blown up like a balloon xD. And Sasame is such a cool character! Very smooth :D.
