The Synopsis

Himeno wakes early in the morning and practices what looks to be karate (though it just as easily have been a jumble of random kicks and punches ^^;). Tanaka calls Himeno to breakfast, and gets his head bashed by an extra-heavy rooftile, caught in another one of Mayune's failed attempts to trick Himeno. At breakfast, Himeno eats less than her usual ton of food (even though she already ate a lot), and attracts the worried yet unwanted attention of her father.
Back in her room, Himeno practices with the kendana and still meets with failure. She remembers Fenrir telling her to prepare to die, and sits up in fear.
Mayune, right outside Himeno's bedroom door, prepares a trap for Himeno involving a jar of squid ink meant to fall on Himeno's head. However, in the middle of her preparations, Himeno comes out of the room and tells Tanaka that she will be out for a while, failing to notice a freshly squid-inked Mayune. Hayate visits the church where Fenrir first transformed, searching for clues. Sasame meets him there, and Hayate tells him that Himeno can't beat Fenrir right now, and he doesn't want her fighting because she might get hurt. Sasame narrows his eyes. Himeno visits Sasame's place, but he isn't at work. She then visits Kei's place, where she does see him. Kei tells Himeno that there's nothing to do except to improve for the next time and sends her off with a good luck charm (a mini keychain of himself and a photograph of himself >.>;). She then makes a visit to Go's ice cream parlor where Go treats her to a yummy-looking sundae in a glass. Later, Himeno walks down the sidewalk feeling ashamed for relying on the others so much. Suddenly she sees the household servant, Mikage. As Mawata makes her way down the hallway at home, Kaoru spots her and invites her to make clay statues with him. Mawata tells him she used to do it a long time ago, and remembers when the times she spent with her father in the studio silently. Suddenly, Natsue appears and the two lovers embrace, oblivious to Mawata's presence. Kaoru is surprised when he finds Mawata gone. Mawata returns to her room and throws her spatula (one among many tools used when working with clay) at the stereo, which turns on to Sasame's voice.
Meanwhile, the knights are having trouble sensing the demon larvae. An image of a demon larva hiding behind a building is shown watching Hayate from behind.
Himeno shares a snack with Mikage and is discovered by a romance-stuffed Yayoi. Mikage tells Himeno that she should think of things methodically to solve her problem, whatever it is. Himeno, suddenly looking refreshed, starts running down the street. She bumps into a surprised Mannen, who promptly scolds her for disappearing during their guard shift. Himeno gets Mannen, Shinn, and Hajime to take her to Leafenia so she can learn more about her enemy. Himeno nearly falls off the creature they ride on (looks like a stingray gone airborne) but they eventually make it to the site where Fenrir was once imprisoned. Mannen throws a ball of power toward the core of the tree, creating a bridge of ice. Somewhere around the base of the tree, Himeno finds a stick of lipstick. When the four return to the mortal world, they find the rest of the Leafe knights waiting for them. They automatically know that they've been to Leafenia. Himeno suddenly asks about Fenrir, and Sasame and Hayate tell Himeno that there are some things she shouldn't know. Kei, however, tells Himeno that Fenrir was once human and not demon-born. Before he can finish, however, a demon larva appears merged with the buildings. Apparently this is a new ability of the demon larvae, and the knights realize that they have evolved. Himeno pretears with Kei, but has trouble fighting with her mind full of the news about Fenrir. In the middle of the fight, she asks Kei about the past of Fenrir. Kei tells her that Fenrir was Takako, the Pretear, whose powers changed directions. At this point of the battle, Himeno seems to give up. She hits the creature with a Light Chakram, but it fails to destroy it and it escapes. At the end, Himeno asks the knights why they didn't tell her about Fenrir earlier. The knights are silent for a few moments, and everyone leaves except for Hayate and Sasame. Hayate walks up to Himeno and tells her he has an old story to tell her.

The Review

This is definitely an informative episode - and probably more so the next episode *gah ~ must wait for the next one...*. I feel kinda sorry for Kei though, it didn't seem like he hand much choice but to answer her questions, and even then she failed to fight properly (in other words, he got hurt because she became careless).
