It looks like the first Before-and-After was a popular success, so I present entry #2!
At the suggestion of my good friend Pot Sticker (aka Florence =P), I've decided to use the wall called "Timeless Story," based on the anime series Gankutsuou.
Before
The original scan was 2018x2796 px at 72 dpi.
Click on the image to view a larger version.
After
The girl is based on the scan, and the rest of the background was drawn and brushed (is that a word now? xp) on Photoshop.

JADE! Heh. I stop by to comment [for once] and I am awed by your PS prowess [whoa... alliteration]. Anyways, your new Okami wall is beyond amazingness *_* I could stare at it forever. Maybe I will.

Frickin' A xD
You kick so much arse heheh
I wouldn't even begin to imagine doing something like that. My talents on the computer are limited.

The "my neighbour Totoro" layout is so cute.

That... is just insane. You BRUSHED that background? >.> I like the change you brought to the mouth- I thought the original's mouth was a little too much like a typed smiley: o__o
Beautiful, of course. It reminds me of European monarchs for some reason, though (how ironic).

I tried doing CG so many times and I just sucked. It's the one thing that I can't seem to be good at. And it's such a wonderful asset to have too. I envy you.

How did you manage to complete the image of the lady from the scanned one? @___@ Like there are words written over it right?
Anyways, great job on it!! ^^ I like the wallpaper a lot. Looks cool. xD~

Wow... You Rock! Its amazing how you got the girl out of the image. If I were to see that image I would have just passed it by in a snap.
I agree with phuc, you should post a tutorial if you have time. :D

I still have no idea how you accomplish drawing that in. I would get overly frustrated (or bored, whichever comes first) and never finish.
I love how you added in the time stuff in the wallpaper though, especially the roman time measurement device (I forgot what it was called).

You should make commercials for watch companies! There's a fancy brand (Geneva?) that has a Timeless line.

O______O Crazy amount of talent is all I can say. I find these before and after things quite interesting to see where it began. On a side note, I never knew Gankutsou was about the Monte Cristo (was about to write Crisco... I'm brilliant =P)

phuc @ Tuesday, January 30, 2007 -- 9:58 pm
